Inspired by Arctic Design Week
In the end of February there was an event called Artic Design Week in Rovaniemi. They had their 10th year anniversary. I participated into three different events during the week and everyone of them was very useful for our Nukkumatti Project.
I met other entrepreneurs and designers and had opportunity to have inspiring discussions. It is great to notice that people are very generous in giving good advice and examples of success and exposing their own mistakes and missteps too. The best way to learn!
For example I met my old schoolmate Anne Paso. We studied together industrial design in University of Lapland years ago. Anne had a special idea of christmas ball decoration made of wood. She developed the idea step by step and now she has a company with 1,2 M€ turnover and 10 employees. Her company, Lovi Oy, produces flat packed 3D figures from wood to all over the world. It was so inspiring to listen to her and her story. Maybe that kind of success is possible for us too!
There was also an event where I met Tuija Seipell. What a woman! She has such a great way to encourage people with business ideas. She loved our Nukkumatti Project and gave me very good tips for it. I noticed we need her expertise to consult us more. Let's see what happens...
